This may be the ultimate Barbiecore experience. Airbnb has listed a real-life Barbie Malibu DreamHouse to celebrate one of summer's most anticipated movies: Greta Gerwig's Barbie.
This is the second time the DreamHouse has appeared on the rental company's site after it was briefly listed(opens in a new tab) in 2019 to celebrate six decades since the creation of the fashion doll.
Although this time the property has been repainted in signature(opens in a new tab) Barbie Pink, the DreamHouse has been refurbished to emit 'Kenergy'. Ken is the official, (though non-present) Airbnb host(opens in a new tab) and, for one night, he offers his cowboy-themed room to up to two guests, free of charge. According to the Airbnb listing, guests can try on Ken's clothes, hit the disco dance floor or enjoy a swim in the pool, then leave the DreamHouse with their own pair of yellow-and-pink Impala skates and surfboard.
Airbnb has pledged to make a one-time donation to Save the Children(opens in a new tab) "in celebration of Barbie hitting theaters on July 21, and to honor girls’ empowerment," though it hasn't stipulated the amount. Bookings for the DreamHouse open on July 17 for a stay on July 21 and 22.
